Our rearranged match at home to New Tredegar on Saturday has, unfortunately, had to be postponed again.

This was quite literally a game to forget. The only Division 6 East fixture to survive the weather. The weather was awful, constant rain, a continuous biting wind and temperatures well inside single figures. It was almost impossible to play rugby in these conditions but it was Old T’s who managed to get it over the line with a first half penalty and a second half try and conversion. Most people, on the pitch and off it, were happy when the final whistle went. More details here.

On the 6th of Feb the Old T’s will celebrate their 75th season with a friendly against Abertillery BG RFC at Abertillery park (nicest ground in Wales) 7pm KO. Abertillery won’t charge on the gate but there will be a collection for the hospice of the valleys.
From 1983 until May 1994, women’s rugby union across the UK was run by the Women’s Rugby Football Union (WRFU). When it was formed there were 12 founder teams as members, including: Leicester Polytechnic, Sheffield University, UCL, University of Keele, Warwick University, Imperial College, Leeds University, Magor Maidens, University of York and Loughborough University.
The Magor Maidens formed in 1979 when a Californian men’s rugby team toured Britain with their women’s team as well.

Mark Tuesday 20th January 2026 as another momentous day in our club’s history because today, 8 ladies, 8 Magor Maidens started training and launched the next chapter in the history of Magor RFC.

Today’s game finished up a draw. Two tries each, two conversions missed each. Magor tries came from Jaxon Morgan and Aeddan Erasmus. Conversion by Ellis Wainwright. Match Report Here

Next up Hirwaun at home, 2:30 kick off. We narrowly beat them at their place with the last kick of the game earlier in the season so it will be a tough encounter but let’s see if we can do the double over them.

Here’s the Magor lineup.
