The blood donation service are returning to the hub on Wednesday the 5th of August. The last session at the hub saw 66 donations made with 8 first time donors attending. They need around 13,000 people to successfully donate blood between now and the August Bank Holiday weekend to help maintain a safe and reliable blood supply for hospitals across Wales.
Every day, they need to collect around 350 donations to meet patient demand, and summer is traditionally one of the most challenging times of year for blood collection
We wanted to say thank you to Magor Primary School for allowing access to Sycamore Field for our Sunday training sessions.
As a thanks, we asked them what we should support them with and, with the current hot weather, we’re happy to share that we’ve made a donation towards the wonderful new fans they’ve got for the classrooms.
It feels good to give back to our local community and support a place that does such an amazing job looking after our little ones.
